The Dowell Family

The Dowell family has been active in missions for over 30 years.  They founded Planting Hope International in 2011 with the mission of meeting agricultural, educational, and medical needs in developing countries.   Floyd has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering and is a retired research scientist and a collaborator at the USDA ARS Center for Grain and Animal Health Research.  Gayle has a B.S. in Mechanical Design Technology and is an artist, specializing in nature-inspired jewelry.  

Mission Statement.  Planting Hope International provides appropriate technology and training to improve food production, education, and health, thereby improving food security and financial stability for families in developing countries.
